The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake community will be celebrating the red, white and blue at the 7th Annual Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Community Flag Day Parade on Thursday, June 12, 2008.
Previous years' events have brought these comments:
It was the most community-building event we've had in the tens years I've lived here.

I think our community has really needed something like this.
The event is the brainchild of BH-BL teacher and coach Gary Bynon, who approached the Business and Professional Association in 2002 with the goal of giving local children a chance to enjoy watching or being part of a parade. "I loved parades as a a kid and I wished our kids had more chances to enjoy them too," says Bynon. "It gives people a chance to celebrate our community and express our love for the flag and all that it stands for."
